Holocaust Survivor’s Grandniece Faces Torture and Defamation as Political Prisoner in Germany

Johanna Findeisen, grandniece of a Holocaust survivor, has been detained as a political prisoner in Germany for over two years, enduring “white torture” and defamation by mainstream media. Her case demands urgent global attention.

Johanna Findeisen, 54, is member of an opposition party, an activist against child abuse and a free speech advocate. On July 1, 2022, she shook hands with Russian Consul Khotulev at a memorial for 49 Russian children killed in a 2002 plane crash. On December 5, 2022 she delivered to Khotulev a letter from an Assange activist. Arrested on May 22, 2023, she was held in Schwäbisch Gmünd prison and transferred to Frankfurt am Main Prison III on April 30, 2024.

Findeisen faces baseless high treason charges, with mainstream media spreading unproven claims of aimed coup involvement and Reichsbürger ties (next-best all-purpose cudgel after accusations of anti-Semitism), without evidence or court rulings (Schwäbisch https://www.schwaebische.de/regional/bodensee/friedrichshafen/reichsbuergerin-vom-bodensee-sollte-nach-umsturz-zentrale-rolle-uebernehmen-2214191). She endures “white torture,” including forced nudity and degrading searches while ill, as defined by the UN Istanbul Protocol (OHCHR, 2004, https://www.ohchr.org/sites/default/files/documents/publications/training8rev1en.pdf).

Acknowledged human rights’ defenders Volker Reusing and Sarah Luzia Hassel-Reusing have a profound expertise in international laws. They provided detailed analysis of the Fuellmich case, that reveals the same methodical assault on the psyche and dignity as the Findeisen case.

A dossier by Johanna’s defender Prof. Martin Schwab documents her detention conditions.

We need public attention to the fact that there are political prisoners all over the world and that so-called “white torture” is practiced – measures that are suitable to break a person psychologically and emotionally. The Findeisen and Fuellmich cases are an example of this.

Make sure that Holocaust Survivors are heard.
